Telephone dhun mein hansane vaali
Melbourne machhali machalane vaali
Melbourne is the part of Indian music with this song by A.R.Rehman. We can see the elegant look of Melbourne and many more interesting places in Melbourne in the various shots of this song.
Melbourne is famous among all travelers with various attractions related to art, music, sports and various festivals. Sport lovers plan their visit according to the matches in the Melbourne Cricket Ground and Melbourne Park MIFF. Film lovers never forget to visit Melbourne Underground Film Festival or Melbourne Queer Film Festival. It’s all time favorite for food lovers, sports lover, adventure lover and backpackers too.
There are useless reasons to fall in love with Melbourne. However, what attracts me more? The most unusual thing I like about the city is Penguin Parade. It’s Australia’s greatest wildlife attraction. Watching thousands of cute penguins marching towards their sand dune burrows is no doubt an amazing experience. But this is the third thing I will do in Melbourne.
And my second reason of my Melbourne vacation is to visit the Peninsula Hot Springs. India is known for herbs and Auyrveda. Same way here we can find the natural hot springs , just one and half hour away from Melbourne. Entering the bathing area is like stepping into heaven. Its a place where the mind and body are calmed by the steam, relaxing aroma and the sound of running water. It’s a place where time is forgotten and lingering is part of the code of harmony……
So, what’s the first thing I will do in Melbourne? Melbourne is a land of inspiration for artists. Art lover like me will definitely not miss the opportunity to visit various art galleries and demonstrations by various Melbourne artists. I would arrange my vacations according to various art festivals . Various art walks, art talks and art workshops are held at NGV International . At painting workshops the introductory class of three hours is too good for the new learner like me. So that I can do my own painting here with the guidance of the art masters at Melbourne.
For me the most exciting is the and street art. Melbourne is worlds’s greatest street art capital. Here we can see the unique expression of art in various forms. The street art covers various forms like Stencil art, sticker art, street installations, poster art , port art , Graffiti , découpage, collage, papier-mâché. Off-course , the murals and graffitis are done with the necessary permission at the suitable locations. For stencil art paper or cardboard stencils are used to do the spray paintings. Whereas in sticker art various images, stickers or prints are used to create a art form. I would not even miss the opportunity to visit Hosier Lane for guaranteed inspirational artwork. That’s the place where I can get to see the art in progress.

Great Choice Heena! Happy New Year!!
Great post! After reading your post & watching all the videos, I’d most like to visit the Dandenong Ranges for it’s scenic beauty, breathtaking view and cool breeze blowing through my hair. 😛 I’d give anything away for driving through the winding roads which are present throughout the ranges. I’d love to stay at one of the bed and breakfast cottages and go on frequent excursions in the forests with my camera which provides excellent views. And not to forget the famous ride in the Puffing Billy, a day reserved especially for that. To add to that, there are also several picnic spots for me and my friends to spend a fun-filled day and the ranges are a perfect spot for hiking and cycling.

Wish you and your blog a happy new year! 😀
Happy New Year Abhishek!!!
I have visited Melbourne two years back. And as you mentioned there are lot of things to enjoy.
I really loved the video you have uploaded here. And even checked the other videos on the given link. I have taken lot of snaps , but could not do the videos.
May be I will be visiting Melbourne at the end of this year. But this time I will take care to check the various festivals before I do my booking for vacations and also make videos too.
I am definitely going to visit Penguin Parade and seal watching.
Thanks Parmveer for landing on my blog and enjoy your Melbourne vacations!
Very Well Written!
Yes, you truly Spoke like a Artist!!
the way you see Melbourne I only wish I could. Only a artist can.
So choosing from the list you compiled, my First Choice is Penguin Parade. I had always admired those cute creatures and wished to watch them close. So watching hordes of these flappy birds march to their sand dunes would be a real delight to watch.
Second.
I am a foodie too. From the videos I watched, one shows the AIB duo Tanmay and Rohan visit Gazi, a restaurant and interact with owner George Calombaris, Master Chef Judge. I would really want to visit Gazi and get the taste of the cuisine there and maybe if lucky get a selfie with the celebrity.
and For one last choice which is inspired by your post. I would like to get a Artist’s perspective of Melbourne by visiting Hosier Lane. Graffiti and Murals is a type of art I like, where artist tell so much through abstract artwork.
thank you for the opportunity!
Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Anirudh!
Nice post. And pretty well explained. I absolutely loved the way you described the places in detail. Your post gives me a feeling that I’ve been there in Australia for myself. Of all, I would like to go and experience the hot air balloon ride. Would be an awesome experience, that too one, memorable for an entire lifetime.

Thank you Ranjith!
Great post indeed….. You have presented your liking so nicely…… Everything is special about Melbourne. But, the first thing I will love to go after reaching Melbourne is the botanical garden, where I can cherish the serenity of a countryside in the middle of a bustling city………. Thank you again for such a nice post and my best wishes for the contest……….
Thanks for visiting my blog and Happy New Year Debopam !
Interesting Post
After reading your post and watching all the videos
I feel I have stepped into a kaleidoscope called Melbourne
Where Vistas of experiences would unfold one after another
The nature lover in me is enticed by the thought of watching the penguin parade.
Traveling though the great ocean road, soaking up the freshness as the breeze ruffles my hair gets me in the mood to pack my bags for Melbourne.
But before I can move ,Puffing Billy whistles and invites me for a ride. The kid in me jumps with joy at the thought of visiting Pannys Phillip Island Chocolate Factory
Even before I can deside on the list of places that I would like to see in and around Melbourne.
What’s that noise that I hear ?
Oh its loud cheer from MCG as the cricket world cup 2015 is about to kick start.
So many plces to see and so much to do.
I am thetimetraveler ( http://goo.gl/wdXDzu ) and I have decided … Melbourne here I come ( http://goo.gl/RvUCQf ).
Thanks Alok
Nice reading your post. I’m not a robot LOL
As for answering your question, I would love to visit the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Being a cricket enthusiast, I don’t think I would getter a better thrill in Australia than watching a Boxing Day Test Match live at the MCG. The Australian cricket fans are very hostile towards opposition players but are the first to appreciate a good player. I would want to sit amongst the 100,000 fans and cheer for my team. It would be even better if I got a seat next to Anushka Sharma so that if Virat Kohli scores a century and blows a kiss at her again, I would be on TV 😀
🙂
Amazing Article.
If I get a chance to visit Melbourne then
I would like to spend my time in the Great Otway National Park, because I love watching animals. I would love to take a city tour by travelling on the Tram’s of Melbourne. By travelling in tram’s I want to explore every nook & corner of Melbourne. Besides this I would love to watch the amazing architectures of Melbourne like Eureka Tower, Royal Exhibition Building, etc. And without enjoying festivals, my journey would be incomplete so I will celebrate Australian Festivals.
And how can I forget The MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground). As cricket is my favourite sport I would love to watch the Cricket world cup final which will take place at the largest stadium of Australia, that is, MCG.

Great Manu!
I am an adventurous soul so it would be a thrilling ride on the Great Ocean Road. I want to witness all the natural and lush green beauty along the drive. After the drive I would like to soar high on the hot Balloon and want to experience the holistic view of Melbourne from the balloon.
